Womb of life
My first approach to metal sculpture was in 2015 while living in Rio de Janeiro with the ‘Womb of Life.
Womb of Life
‘Womb of Life’ is a representation of the different stages of life. Created from stray bullet casings that were melted down and cast into a specific piece, then oxidized to achieve a greenish hue, the artwork tells the story of a pregnant belly called the ‘Womb of Life.’ It encapsulates the entire life cycle: a crystal fetus representing pre-birth, a nest with a kite symbolizing childhood with its carefree spirit and nurturing essence, a leather book symbolizing the school years, a long necklace of pearls and colorful beads representing adulthood with its mix of joyful, sorrowful, and healthy moments, old age symbolized by a cane, and, finally, death represented by an opaque smoky quartz crystal ball containing ashes.

Coraggio
Based on the misconception that a strong heart is one of iron, this creation wants to convey how important it is to have instead a golden heart, one that is pure and represents the sun's strength on this heart. Inside resides the most precious diamond of all: the Soul. As time goes by it has to become increasingly bright as it is a sparkle of God, the Cosmo and the Angels. In the heart there is a unique quality of warmth, one that cures all suffering and illness, a type of energy that conquers everything, a sublime beam that stems from its center: Courage.
'Your heart is gold. From it is born your the warmth that creates everything: Courage.'
'Il tuo cuore è d'oro. Da lui nasce il calore che tutto crea: il Coraggio.'
